Back to School Daze: Inspiring the Next Generation of Future Leaders.
The festivities started with alums going “Back to School Daze: Inspiring the Next Generation of Future Leaders.” Alumni shared their motivational stories with hundreds of students at six Memphis/ Shelby County high schools.
Awards Gala
Later that evening, an awards gala honored 35 distinguished alumni across eight disciplines who were recognized for their achievements and for representing Memphis as emerging leaders. The gala was attended by over 300 family members and friends, including Memphis Challenge founder J.R. Pitt Hyde and Mayor Paul Young.
Challenger Impact Day: Holiday Service Project
The weekend concluded with alumni “Giving Back – Making Christmas” for 50 youth from the Neighborhood Christian Center with bikes, tablets, scooters, games, and more. Alums assembled, wrapped, and wrote motivational notes to the kids.
